so I have been following alot of fashion blogs to see how these stylist have come to find work in the industry that I want to work in. Often times I feel like "where do I start?" "who do I know?" "what do I do?" It just seems like it comes so easy for some people, but I have got ot get up and make it happen for myself. So I am making a promise to myself to have a small portfolio at least 10 looks photographed and business cards ready so that when I get to NY, I can try to make some things happen. I WILL! I WILL! I WILL!

I am just so obsessed with fashion, in particular styling, & I know I can make it my career...i'm working on it guys!

Cleaveage Overload

I love ultra deep v neck tshirts. The strange thing is I like how they look on the male models more then how they look on the female models on the AA website..hmmm. So anywho,these are my favorite colors...basically the entire collection. But @ 22 bucks a pop, i'm definitely going to forever21 first thing next week to peruse there first. Thtat's crazy money in this economy...lol

And I love how one of the twins (not sure who) looks in it, not soo much the skirt...but yeah, you get the jist.

I found my boots!

I went to the fashion district with my girl Lori today and found the most fabulous black winter boots. They were 50 after taxes...I forsee this being a very fashionable season...stay tuned as I update my purchases...

NYC Bound

So I am off to NY in a few weeks to visit some people and get a feel for it to see if I would like living there...

It is gonna to be early fall so I need to pick up a few things prior to my trip. First up over the knee boots, a definite must have for the fall, great when pair with any type of hoisery, leggings, dresses, etc...

I love these knee high boots, you can pair with dresses, tights, shorts, over skinny jeans, etc...
I cannot get enough of the boyfriend jean trend, I was told that I would be doing a lot of walking in NY and this is a very comfortable way to get around and still look effortlessly chic
I plan to go out and sip some cocktails and hang a little, so a sequined mini dress such as this would be uber fabulous
I need a mini skirt, definitely want one in black for a wardrobe staple, but I love this pop of colour as well
lace hoisery...I love it! looks great paired with a basic dress or long shirt and some boots
and who doesn't love a pashmina...I sure do, in every colour :)
and lastly, the perfect trenchcoat, I love the neutral tone and it will last for many a seasons...

I have always been a fan and remember exactly where I was when I heard that she passed away. It was my first week in Florida for college and I was on my way to class when it flashed across the tv screen. I'm always sad on this day...but this world is a crazy place so I know she is resting in peace...

what I wore

The lace tank top was about 5 dollars, the skirt I got for 1 dollar @ Goodwill, The belt came with a different dress, and the shoes were about 14 dollars. Recessionista...Present!

So I follow this blog and the blogger had on these electric blue shoes that I just have to have. I just so happened to have gone to the mall last night with my friend and do you know what I saw in Aldo....I saw....MY SHOES!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I need these, electric blue and heather grey along with a splah of eggplant purple are my fall colours du'jour! Oh yeah, peep the new eggplant purse, 20 dollars

One person who I would love to work with would be Ms. Rachel Roy, she is soo effortlessly fabulous. Skin and hair is always on point...Loves her. I lover sense of style...I could really go on...and on...and on...

And Ms. Cassie & Chanel Iman are looking uber glam as well...le sigh*

Rihanna: Tha Hauetness

I just heart this chick! She is just fly/ bad/ diva/ get it girl...etc... I love the acid wash jeans, paired with the soft pink cardigan. I hate those shoes, I do not care who designed them or how much they cost her...Icky Ick Ick!...

Now I am a chick who loves excessive accessories so I wish she had on some rings and more dramatic earrings, but that's just me. Work it out then Rih Rih!

DIY! DIY! I am gonna try to DIY!

So I saw this photo of Miss Teyanna Taylor a few days/ weeks ago and I going to make me a pair of these shades. I am going down to the fashion district, get me a pair of 5 dollar frames and add on some pearls from a fabric store and Voila! I will have these, photo to come as soon as I complete them.

I also want to try and do these Golden Girls 2009 shades. I'll just get a strand of gold chain..woo hoo!

Maybe I will add feathers or fringe, creative license ya' know...This should be interesting!

so today....

I had a casting for a new Keri Hilson video. Keeping my fangas crossed. I am hoping that I get the job. Y you may ask? Because if I do, in between takes I want to scurry ova to wardrobe an inquire on how they got their start, and if they need an assistant mmmk...lol

I didn't get a picture of what I wore, but here is my makeup, why I look slightly pink n pale around my hair line is something I have to work on...lol

So now i'm watching Auntie Wendy on tv, glad that I did not feel the equake, and praying that we DO NOT have another one...ever again...I hate those things!
